Looking forward to listening to the tournament report guys – although regarding Nathan’s pronunciation of ‘Ravagers’ as ‘Ravengers’, I think you could cut him some slack! After all, Dave’s not entirely innocent – Haemonculus, Hellions being a prime example! (or “Homoculus” and “Heelions” in Dave’s case) 😉

Hmmm, you may have a point there buddy: I am still working on Coteaz

  2. Neil Kerr February 6, 2012 at 16:52 #

What happened to also announcing/talking about the Scottish A team? You mention it at the start of the podcast that you will wait till the end, ramble on about the Scottish B team and who Josh has selected, go through your tournament reports (yes Nathan you are a turn coat) which are always a good listen even if just for Dave’s constant confusion 😛 But then no talk about the Scots…. and I was really looking forward to finding out who had made the Scottish team 😛

Sorry buddy, it was a marathon recording sesh and I barely knew my own name by the end of it, let alone yours. We’ll do a segment on the team next week.

How do ya mean buddy… what have I been getting wrong this time?

    Are the Roberts boys Scottish?

You have the Roberts boys being on the Scottish team and the English team.

One day you need to sort out who is from where so those of us outside of your little island knows where you are all from. You have Franco Marrufo being the one guy on the Podcast who sounds Scottish, (and what kind of Scottish name is that? It is almost as bad as Dario Franchitti!). Then Neil Kerr “claims” to be Scottish, but he does not sound like it.

That is the thing about the ETC and your teams that gets the Americans upset…it seems that players from the UK can be on any team at any given year, You have a small country to begin with, and then you have 3 teams to choose from and have 24 slots to fill (I have no idea about N. Ireland so it is a possible 32?).

And yes I know why, it is just another reason for Americans to hate soccer (as if we needed another reason).

      You mean football 😛

    • The Voice February 7, 2012 at 16:25 #

No nathans English. He was just a makeweight merc on the scots team last year as they didnt have the numbers. Much gentle ribbing has ensued with his resulting “defection” now that he has climbed the rankings enough to merit an england spot and scotland are no longer have to beg people to play for them 😛

    • Neil Kerr February 7, 2012 at 18:08 #

I ‘claim’ to be Scottish? I’m sorry didn’t realise someone’s accent determined their Nationality.

I though it was where they and their parents where born, in my case Scottish as far back as my Dad was able to trace our family records (something like 5 generations).

I was just taking the piss from you…or is it taking the micky? I don’t know, I was taking something from you (I wonder if I am using those phrases right). It reminds me of that time Dave said that Gary was pissed on the second day of a tournament and I was wondering why he was angry.

I was just having some fun with you about being Scottish, but it does not come across very well in the internet.

I am sure you have a Scottish passport to prove your Scottish! Wait, what do you mean there is no such thing as a Scottish passport? 😉

  6. Scoffer February 7, 2012 at 15:06 #

Game 5 Deathwing against Necrons with the doomsday cannons your opponents name was Chris (Scoffer) 🙂

    • The Voice February 7, 2012 at 16:23 #

Dammit :S i knew id got it wrong – sorry fella – i was bushed when i played you and not paying attention to the details (names, places, where i was )

      • Scoffer February 7, 2012 at 16:58 #

Was an easy mistake to make. I think they messed up the scores from the last round so when the list went up, I found my opponent and table but halfway through deployment opponent got switched.

  7. Leon Smith (@boomstick40k) February 7, 2012 at 15:36 #

The top four ranked Scots at the event who are guarenteed a place on the ETC team were in order:

    1st Leon “Boomstick” Smith
    2nd Duncan Brown
    3rd Bernard Lee
    4th Graeme Simpson

So would like to mention them specifically as you failed to mention them at all!! The whole team is as follows.

    1. Neil Kerr (Captain)
    2. Leon Smith. (Vice)
    2. Duncan Brown (Home Nations) Matt Edmonds (ETC)
    4. Bernard Lee
    5. Graeme Simpson
    6. James Meikle
    7. Pete Smith (ETC) Graham White (Home Nations)
    8. Tim King (Manager)

    • Neil Kerr February 7, 2012 at 18:10 #

Though you have to admit part of you is mentioning that fact as you placed higher than me 😉

      (and I am still sulking 😦 )
