Hi guys, love the show 🙂
Quick question: Nathan against Bernard at the GT game 4, Nathan said the razorback was 35 and half inches from Nathan’s board edge. How can two helldrakes vector strike the razorback as I thought you had to “pass over” a unit to vector strike? (Max move of helldrakes 36 inches right?)
Just wondering if in playing the vector strikes wrong and how tournaments are playing the vector strike.
    Cheers
    Tim

Only part of the hull of the drake needs to pass over the model. So that can be the tiniest part of the tip of the wing. Ergo is you are within 36″ of the board edge it is possible to fly on and have the tip of one of the wings pass over the target model.

So basically what im getting from your review of the tau codex is that once again DAs were just a test for ideas later refined and expanded in anther book. Seem really worrying that they got the “someone has to write it, so we don’t have to look at for the next 4 years” syndrome of that the BAs got, as they are in between 2 codex releases that have horrific cover negating abilities that effectively eliminates using raven wing as an option. Also one of the new DA speeders is basically a tau skimmer with shit for armor.

Im also interested in knowing if anyone was on the team that play tested the DAs as again after listening to the tau review, im thinking that storm bolters better be effected by that banner just to bring them up the level of shooting to justify their cost.
